Each of our Oolong Teas are grown by a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated farm in rural Taiwan. These teas are organically grown using traditional and sustainable farming practices.
Jasmine-Scented Oolong Tea
Each tea leaf is rolled and laid in beds with hand-picked organic jasmine flowers for many hours and removed at precisely the right time to produce a beautifully scented yet sweet tea. Natural flower scenting is a traditional process that is disappearing as it is resource-intensive and relies on a timely supply of natural flowers. Our farm performs this process only twice a year, only when the best and most fragrant flowers bloom. The reward is a tea where the headier floral notes emerge in the first infusion and the tea's natural scent supports later infusions.
Aside from using beautiful ingredients, the skill and timing of processing the tea is essential to creating this unique tea. It will instantly transport you to that fragrant Taiwanese hillside.
Oolong Earl Grey Tea
Locally grown organic bergamot fruit from a neighbor’s relative is cut, grated and dried using time-honored traditions. The dried fruit pieces are then added to a select lot of organic Oolong tea that has been lightly baked to bring out its creamy sweetness. A light sprinkling of essence enhances the citrus freshness of the bergamot fruit pieces. This meticulous process results in a balance of all the flavor elements, leaving room for the tea and the Bergamot fruit to express themselves individually.
Your friends will be pleased with an introduction to this Earl at your next tea party!
Sweet-Osmanthus Oolong Tea
The freshest yellow-gold organically grown Osmanthus flowers are hand-picked in the first two days of a seasonal bloom. These fragrant and sweet flowers have a delicate aroma with a fruity note of apricots. The Osmanthus flowers also add a beautiful creaminess, with a balance of good body and soothing finish. This batch is made from spring tea and scented with the fall bloom of the Osmanthus plantations surrounding the farm.
This tea has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine for detoxification and skin care. Give yourself a warm embrace, inside and out.
