Our organic South Indian Black Peppercorns - the "king of spices" - is sustainably cultivated in the Western Ghats region of South India at a small family plantation. Our family farmers are so compassionate that instead of killing the common pests that love the pepper vines, they invested many months of research and planted alternative ‘food’ so that the bugs would not be so interested in eating the pepper vines. These peppercorns are hand-harvested from vines cladding the native forest trees that must be manually climbed for harvesting each February. It is truly a labor of love!
