Our coriander seeds are organically grown by a women’s collective in Uttarakhand, India that supports around 3,000 mountain families.
Coriander- a.k.a. Cilantro - is an erect annual herb in the family Apiaceae that has been used for centuries as a medicinal herb in Ayurvedic medicine to reduce inflammation. And if you are part of the population that thinks cilantro tastes like soap, you might be in for a pleasant surprise because the seeds taste quite different. Compared to the leaves, the seed has a warm and earthy flavor with a hint of citrus.
Coriander seeds make a great addition to stewed savory dishes like beans and curries. However, they also taste amazing in pies, jams & compotes, especially with blueberries.
