Fennel, also known as saunf, is a flavorful perennial herb in the Apiaceae family alongside cumin and carom seeds. This hardy plant serves as an integral spice in many cuisines - including Italian & Indian - and provides a subtle anise-like flavor. Our fennel is grown at a cousin’s organic farm in Rajasthan, India.
Use the seeds whole to infuse its wonderful flavor & aroma in baked goods, desserts, pastas, curries, savory broths or with our green cardamom and cloves as a component of your own spice blend. You can also eat it as an after-meal natural mouth freshener, and it is an essential ingredient in Masala Chai.
