Our Hibiscus tea is of the Rosa Sinensis varietal and is organically grown on a farm in rural South India that practices biodiversity and has created a peaceful bird sanctuary on the farm. Amazingly, each of the 60,000 hibiscus plants came from a single mother sapling that was found after 6 months of searching and experimentation. The plants are fertilized with amino acids from fish byproducts, fermented fruit solutions, compost and bio charcoal. The vibrant red flowers are carefully harvested, cleaned and dried in a solar dryer on site.
Our Hibiscus has a beautiful soft reddish color and a sweet & tart flavor with many health benefits because of its high vitamin C and antioxidant content. Hibiscus tea is considered to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, mood enhancement and immune boosting properties. Ayurvedic medicine also considers it as a supplement to suppress gall bladder and kidney stones.
