Did you know that “chai” or “cha” means “tea” in several tea cultures around the world? Our masala chai (tea) uses a heavenly mix of fragrant spices (or masalas) that will warm your soul. It is the perfect antidote to cold weather or a cold. Tea leaves from Assam, cardamom, black pepper, alba cinnamon and cloves from South India, rose petals from Kashmir, fennel from Rajasthan in Northwest India, and ginger from Sikkim. We have scoured the country to find the most wonderful ingredients for this heavenly tea blend. Unlike many chai mixes that use cheaper crushed leaves, we use our premium full-leaf Assam black tea as the base. The spices are blended for a more balanced and nuanced flavor that is lower in caffeine and easy to drink. We may not share our secret blend with you but just one sip will be a revelation.
Add up to a tablespoon in a cup, mug, or glass & fill with boiled water; steep for 5-7 minutes. For an extra kick add whole milk, your choice of sweetener & simmer in a pot to make it 'country style.’ Enjoy the aroma and taste!
