Our Roasted Chana is made from organic black chickpeas from a cousin’s farm. He lovingly grows the chickpeas using natural and regenerative methods. The Chanas are then dry roasted on the farm in a huge wok over a foxhole wood fire in rock salt. Nothing else is added. This is an artisanal painstaking process but one taste of this ‘superfood’ will prove why it’s worth it!
Black chickpeas - a.k.a. Kala Chana - are denser than the ubiquitous white chickpeas and have a wonderful nutty and smoky flavor. Long considered a peasant food, they’re packed with protein and soluble fiber, which will provide you enough energy for a full day’s toil and help you build those muscles.
