Our Roasted Chana Jor is prepared by roasting whole organic chickpeas (chana) using a high-grade olive oil and spices such as Cumin (Jeera), Garam Masala (a compound mother spice made from Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Clove, Black Pepper, Bay Leaf, Cumin, and Cinnamon) and rock salt. They are then smashed to make them the iconic Chana Jor.
Black chickpeas - a.k.a. Kala Chana - are denser than the ubiquitous white chickpeas and have a wonderful nutty flavor. Long considered a peasant food, they’re packed with protein and soluble fiber, which will provide you enough energy for a full day’s toil and help you build those muscles. Our roasted Chana Jor is a rich source of plant-based protein, dietary fiber, and minerals like phosphorus. Tastes great and great for you, what more could you ask for!
