Assam Black Tea
The region of Assam in hilly Northeastern India is one of the largest tea growing areas in the world. The black tea from Assam - which gets its color and flavor from a fermentation process - is known for its rich, malty flavor and rich dark color. Tea is the second most consumed drink in the world after water, so our challenge was to find a high-quality version of a commercial grade product sold in vast quantities.

Our premium Assam tea is organically grown at a 6th generation estate in heritage gardens that are over 100 years old. It is grown from authentic Camellia sinensis, varietal assamica (SFTGFOP1 grade for you tea geeks) plants and carefully fermented by skilled multi-generational “roasters”. The result is a robust flavor with that characteristic maltiness and rich color that tastes nothing like a commercial-grade black tea bag. Fair warning, once you taste our Assam black tea, you may be dissuaded from buying a prepared cup of tea at coffee shops.

Assam tea is considered to have the important health benefits of promoting brain health and supporting immune function. We love to drink it every day because it tastes great and makes us feel good!

Masala Chai
Did you know that “chai” or “cha” means “tea” in several tea cultures around the world? Our masala chai (tea) uses a heavenly mix of fragrant spices (or masalas) that will warm your soul. It is the perfect antidote to cold weather or a cold. Tea leaves from Assam, cardamom, black pepper, alba cinnamon and cloves from South India, rose petals from Kashmir, fennel from Rajasthan in Northwest India, and ginger from Sikkim. We have scoured the country to find the most wonderful ingredients for this heavenly tea blend. Unlike many chai mixes that use cheaper crushed leaves, we use our premium full-leaf Assam black tea as the base. The spices are blended for a more balanced and nuanced flavor that is lower in caffeine and easy to drink. We may not share our secret blend with you but just one sip will be a revelation.

Add up to a tablespoon in a cup, mug, or glass & fill with boiled water; steep for 5-7 minutes. For an extra kick add whole milk, your choice of sweetener & simmer in a pot to make it 'country style.’ Enjoy the aroma and taste!

Darjeeling Black Tea
Darjeeling, a ‘hill station’ in the Kalimpong district of the state of West Bengal in India, was developed by the British East India Company during colonial times. Archibald Campbell first planted the Camellia sinensis varietal in this area in 1841, which was deemed more suitable for Darjeeling's terroir than the assamica varietal. Darjeeling could not compete with other tea regions in terms of quantity or price because of its remoteness so it focused on quality. The outcome of that approach culminated in Darjeeling tea known as the "champagne of teas”.

This moniker is well earned because the right flush of Darjeeling tea is complex with rich muscatel notes very similar to a fine wine. Our 2nd flush Darjeeling Black tea is grown organically and sourced directly from a 6th generation estate with heritage gardens that are over 100 years old. Our Darjeeling tea is pure and with a verifiable provenance; you will taste the difference.
